FND-RP160
1.Honda GX160 power for stable performance & less downtime loss
Equipped with original Honda GX160 gasoline engine for steady power output and good adaptability to field sites. Spare parts are globally accessible, minimizing project delays caused by part shortage and guaranteeing continuous tack‑coat construction.
2. 160L large‑capacity tank & high‑flow gear pump for higher daily output
160L emulsion asphalt tank. Gear pump delivers 22L/min spraying flow under 1 MPa working pressure. 5‑meter spraying hose plus hand‑held spray wand enables one‑operator large‑area tack‑coat work, cutting labor cost and raising daily working coverage.
3. Lightweight wheel‑portable unit (64 kg) for flexible relocation on scattered sites
Total weight only 64 kg with wheel‑mount hand‑push design. Easy to move into narrow spaces and scattered repair spots. No trailer truck required. Fast on‑site positioning saves preparation time for site transfer.
4. Complete pump‑cleaning system extends component service life & cuts spare‑part expense
Special oil‑cup pump cleaning structure plus 20‑L dedicated cleaning container. Quick circulating cleaning for pump, hoses and nozzles after each work cycle. Prevents blockage from cured emulsion asphalt and reduces replacement frequency of wearing parts.
5. Independent wand‑mounted spray switch for controllable application & less material waste
On‑off switch integrated on spray wand for instant start‑stop. Precise local tack‑coat for potholes and crack peripheries, avoids unnecessary emulsion asphalt flowing‑off and lowers material consumption.
6. User‑friendly simple design lowers operator skill threshold
Simplified mechanical layout and intuitive operation. Workers can master operation with minimal training, saving project personnel training cost.
Project Background: Municipal road rehabilitation project in Guatemala City, covering main arterial roads, side‑streets and manhole‑surrounding repairs, around 360 pothole repair points in total. Limited space within urban street network, heavy traffic and narrow allowed working windows. Light‑weight quickly‑movable equipment was required for localized small‑area tack‑coat application.
Project Location: Municipal road network, Guatemala City, Guatemala
Challenges
1. Narrow urban alleys were inaccessible for large spraying machines. Frequent short‑distance relocation was needed for numerous scattered repair points.
2. Most repairs only required local tack‑coat on pothole zones. Full‑width spraying caused massive emulsion asphalt waste.
3. High turnover of municipal field crew. Complex equipment would increase training hours.
4. Most repair works had to be completed at night under heavy daytime traffic. Stable and reliable equipment was needed to avoid re‑work caused by breakdowns.
Solution: Four FND‑RP160 hand‑push asphalt sprayers were put into service. Light‑weight wheel‑based design allowed fast relocation within urban streets. Hand‑held wand delivered precise localized tack‑coat for potholes and manhole peripheries. Complete pump‑and‑hose cleaning was performed after each operation. Simple operation enabled quick crew training for short‑duration night emergency repair.
Project Outcome: Machines travelled smoothly through narrow city alleys. Targeted spraying saved significant emulsion asphalt consumption. Field operators became proficient after brief instruction. No major failures during night‑shift work. Tack‑coat for all 360 pothole repairs was completed. Repaired pavements showed no inter‑layer delamination and re‑repair rate was well controlled.
