Limited space within urban street network, heavy traffic and narrow allowed working windows. Light‑weight quickly‑movable equipment was required for localized small‑area tack‑coat application.

Challenges

1. Narrow urban alleys were inaccessible for large spraying machines. Frequent short‑distance relocation was needed for numerous scattered repair points.

2. Most repairs only required local tack‑coat on pothole zones. Full‑width spraying caused massive emulsion asphalt waste.

3. High turnover of municipal field crew. Complex equipment would increase training hours.

4. Most repair works had to be completed at night under heavy daytime traffic. Stable and reliable equipment was needed to avoid re‑work caused by breakdowns.

Solution: Four FND‑RP160 hand‑push asphalt sprayers were put into service. Light‑weight wheel‑based design allowed fast relocation within urban streets. Hand‑held wand delivered precise localized tack‑coat for potholes and manhole peripheries. Complete pump‑and‑hose cleaning was performed after each operation. Simple operation enabled quick crew training for short‑duration night emergency repair.

Project Outcome: Machines travelled smoothly through narrow city alleys. Targeted spraying saved significant emulsion asphalt consumption. Field operators became proficient after brief instruction. No major failures during night‑shift work. Tack‑coat for all 360 pothole repairs was completed. Repaired pavements showed no inter‑layer delamination and re‑repair rate was well controlled.

Warranty

The equipment warranty period is 12 months, calculated from the date of equipment ex-factory. For product quality defects, the Supplier shall provide maintenance guidance via telephone; on-site service is not included under warranty. Should on-site service be required, it shall be subject to mutual negotiation between both parties, and the Buyer shall bear all relevant travel and accommodation expenses. For component-related quality failures occurring within the warranty period, free repair or replacement shall be available upon mutual agreement with the Supplier. Wear-and-tear parts are excluded from this warranty.
