FND-TG1500
![]() | 1.360° rotating drum for fast heating to cut waiting time & fuel cost Double-layer ceramic-insulated drum. First batch heating:15-20min, follow-up batch:10-15min. 360° tumbling delivers even heating and high thermal efficiency. It shortens material pre-heating waiting time, raises daily patching output and saves diesel consumption. 2.100% on-site reclamation of old asphalt to slash material & haul-away cost Crushed waste asphalt from pavement distress can be directly re-processed on-site, no transport to central mixing plant. It cuts expense for new mix purchase and waste disposal, and complies with overseas environmental-protection regulations. 3.Re-heating cold stock mix to get rid of mixing-plant dependency for emergency repair Pre-fabricated cold asphalt mix can be reheated on-site. Qualified hot mix is available even when mixing plants are closed or far-away. Perfect for scattered, emergency patching tasks without plant-schedule restriction. 4.Siemens PLC intelligent control prevents material degradation & human-error waste Dual control of time & temperature. Low-speed mixing avoids aggregate segregation; high-speed discharging empties all material within 0.5-1min. Prevent asphalt mix over-aging and scrapping, lower operator skill requirement and reduce material loss. 5.Modular spraying options for flexible working conditions & optimized investment Choose emulsion asphalt system, hot-asphalt system or combined version. Built-in 100L thermal-oil constant-temp asphalt tank and 25L emulsion tank. Provide bonding tack-coat and replenish oil content for reclaimed material, strengthen patch bonding and extend repair service life. Configure functions as-needed to avoid over-investment. 6.Complete night-work & warning package to extend working window & improve site safety Remote-controlled foldable 360° LED lighting enables night-time emergency repair. 8-piece strobe lights plus double-arrow guide lamps alert passing traffic and reduce job-site accident risks. |
Project Background: Preventive maintenance project for provincial highway in Eastern Cape, South Africa. The 34-km route bears heavy freight traffic with numerous potholes, alligator cracks and manhole-surround damages. Local asphalt mixing plants are scarce and widely scattered. Long-distance hot-mix delivery suffers high freight cost and rapid temperature drop. The project required maximum waste-asphalt recycling to meet local waste-recycling environmental rules and control overall maintenance budget.
Project Location: Provincial Highway Branch N2, Eastern Cape, South Africa
Challenges
1. Mixing plants were far away. Hot asphalt mix cooled significantly during long haul, resulting in poor patch bonding and early failure.
2. Conventional practice transported all crushed old asphalt to landfill with high disposal expense and high consumption of virgin material.
3. Distressed spots were widely scattered. Large stationary mixing plants could not reach isolated smallsize pothole repair sites.
4. High daytime traffic volume forced many repair works to be carried out at night. Reliable lighting and traffic warning functions were required.
Solution: Two units of FND-RZS1500 trailer-mounted asphalt recycler were deployed. Crushed old pavement material was reclaimed and recycled on-site. Siemens PLC controlled heating & mixing to avoid mix over-aging. Cold-stock reheating function compensated unreliable plant supply. Remote-controlled LED lighting and full warning light sets supported night-shift work. Trailer chassis enabled fast relocation between scattered spots. Optional emulsion-asphalt spraying system applied tack-coat to improve patch adhesion.
Project Outcome: On-site recycling rate of reclaimed asphalt reached 92%, greatly cutting virgin-mix purchase and waste haul-away expenditure. Reliable hot-mix output no longer depended on remote mixing plants. Each machine completed around 48 pothole repairs per working day. Zero site-safety incidents during night-time operation. All distress along 34 km highway was finished on schedule. After 10 months of rainy season and heavy-vehicle loading, repaired patches showed no large-scale peeling, keeping stable pavement performance.
